Villa Ricci

Villa Ricci was built in the 1870s by Augusto Ricci, a royal official born in Faenza, who chose to settle in the valley of Ostuni and build his country residence here. Built with local stone quarried on site, the villa preserves a deep bond with the rural landscape of Apulia and the building techniques of the area.
One of its most distinctive features is the long access avenue covering a large cistern designed to collect rainwater and irrigate the surrounding vineyards: a detail that reveals how agriculture, architecture and daily life have always been intertwined here. Today, after the ministerial recognition of its historic and architectural value and thanks to the recovery project launched in 2022, Villa Ricci once again presents itself as a place of memory, landscape and production.

The Villa
Architecture, family history and restoration come together here, in the built heart of the Villa Ricci story.

The Vineyard
The vineyard’s replanting restores the estate’s original agricultural vocation and projects it into a new productive phase.

The Wood
An ancient quarry, walking paths, a well and Mediterranean scrub preserve the estate’s most intimate dimension.
